We launch our 40th anniversary season with the sound of the cornet welcoming Frédéric Demers, “one of Canada’s leading trumpet and cornet players” (International Trumpet Guild). We will listen to Demers’ dazzling virtuosity and impeccable musicianship in Jan Neruda’s Concerto in E-flat Major, considered as one of the most important in the composer’s repertoire, followed by the world premiere of Romance et variations by Samuel Véro. Frédéric Demers holds a Doctorate with honours in Cornet Performance from the University of Montreal and an Artist Diploma from McGill University.
